Future Crossfit Chick

So for those of you that live around me now, you all know that Beau and I run a Crossfit gym out of our garage. For those of you that use to know me, I know this is a complete shock considering my lack of activity level in the past. Needless to say I am truly addicted at this point and highly encourage anybody and everybody to give it a try. Yes I know it is protrayed as being scary and hardcore, but it really can work for everyone. Even me.

Those that work out with us all know that Cadence is highly involved. She loves doing the skills, trying to work on her gymnastics, and can actually be quite the little motivator when you need some; she also helps relieve some the tension for the newbies who are in fear of the unknown. All that said, I decided to share with you some of her favorite workouts.

She does it all: rope slams, toes to bar, rope climbs, sit ups, jumping jacks, and row.

She's starting out early so CrossFit Games you better watch out :)
However, she has not fully embraced the paleo lifestyle yet......
It's not all work though, she does enjoy a good nap, just like her mom

My life through pictures

So I have fell behind on my blogging abilities. So I will catch everyone up through my pictures, since I have been told by many that I take pictures of everything.

This is what happens when you leave papers around our house

This is how my daughter dresses herself for a rainy day

My husband has a serious addiction to coffee these days, but I can't really judge because I would probably go everyday if I was close to one

Our NeedToBreathe tickets came in the mail :)

This is what happens after I work all night and come home to make breakfast....paleo pancakes....YUMMY! I totally should have taken a picture of those, but I guess I was too hungry

My weakness....

My little diva waiting with me at Kia to get my oil changed...she was such a trooper

The little one even loves chocolate is her order

Gyzmo got a haircut and got to go on a car ride. Cadence said she wanted to visit Grandma too

Why I love being a mommy....
 Lazy days on the couch

I finally tried out Just Burgers in Seneca. It was AHH-mazing! Southwest Buffalo burger is on point with some sweet potato tots! I will be revisting this place.

I am loved <3

Not as good as the mango one, but still a winner in my book. Steer clear from the pineapple protein one though, it's very gritty

Happy Valentines Day!!!

"but my daddy said I could have a bunch"

our church picture
Cadence is in a pageant tomorrow, so I will have to update after that. For those of you that know me well, I am not a pageant mom so this should be interesting. Until next time..... God Bless!

Week Recap

So this week was about like any other, no real special events going on. The beginning was occupied with me working. This time I didn't cook before hand....and regretted it. I should def try to make a habit of precooking meals. It just makes the week go by a lot smoother. So I declare tomorrow grocery shopping and meal cooking day.

Things I either learned this week or already knew.....
Cadence will probably be a computer geek
I ask her not to sit on the couch while eating chocolate because she will make a mess and this is what I come back least she listens. We are now trying a new rule of only eating and drinking in the kitchen or dining room.
Don't leave your dog inside while you are not home....this is what you return to.
Stacy raved over this so much that I had to try it. It was actually very good
I discovered that Garrett Knight is in fact not the only person in the world that thinks the Watermelon Festival is something worth coming to, which is what I previously thought. (Sorry only certain people from USC will understand this). But I should go ahead and inform you, you will not be seeing any watermelons there
On the way to Cadence's school for Muffins with Moms she informed me that she also is not a fan of riding behind someone who has a load like this.  My mother has lost way to many things out of a truck bed for me to be comfortable with this.
Me and the Hubby finally got to have a date night, it has been way too long. Good food at Logans (of course I had the steak) and the new Underworld movie. I've always been a fan, and it continues as long as Kate Beckinsale, or however it is that you might spell her name, is in it. Looking forward to NewSpring tonight. I love spending time in praise with my Church and hope for another awesome message. The fellowship with some of the best people I know at Papas and Beer after is also a great plus.

And just so everyone knows I thought I should inform you that this spring I am officially bringing the tight roll back :) Don't forget- you heard it here first.

New Year, New Things

So evidently this year has found me trying out lots of new things that I have always said I wanted to do instead of just blogging. I had to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night this week so Tuesday morning I decided to make up some meals so we could have healthy wholesome food for the week.

I first started out with some stuffed bell peppers, this was my first time as this something I have wanted to try but never took the time to do. They turned out pretty good other than the peppers wanting to fall apart when coming out, I'll have to investigate on how to prevent this from happening next time. Advice is welcomed!
Then I made up some steak stir-fry, "noodles" from a spaghetti squash, meat sauce, salad (no yucky iceberg for me) and lots of topping already cut up like squash, cucumbers, onions, and mushrooms. And I pre cut some carrots for some yummy carrot fries.
And of course in my household we can not leave out the chicken.
This was amazing. I could actually get sleep and my workouts in and didn't have to eat anything from fast food all week! And I could actually make it to work early. Go me! All of this preparation allowed me to have lunches like this at 1 in the morning

Going for a lot of firsts on Tuesday I went to my very first yoga class. This was pretty interesting I actually enjoyed it. That is until the next day when my abs were sore from all the breathing. I will continue to go back, I signed up for a 10 week class and hope that it helps with all more soreness from CrossFit and makes me a little more flexible. Seeming how I currently am unable to touch my toes.

Continuing on my streak of first last night I tried out the Thai food restaurant that I had been eyeing. It was really good, besides Cadence making a mess of her rice everywhere. But at least she ate good.

So that's my thoughts for the week. I'm loving 2012 so far and am continually blessed more than I deserve.

Hello Hello

 I'm Amy Clarese.

I have always wanted to start a blog, but have always told myself there is no way I have the time to keep it up. Well this year, I decided to try it anyway.

First things First.

I love Jesus and my church, NewSpring. If this bothers you then too bad, don't read my blog. :)

I have the best family ever. My daughter, Cadence and hubby, Beau (yes this is his real name) are my world.

I love all things CrossFit. This is really odd seeming how I was never the one to work out or even enjoy any type of physical activity. However once I started CrossFit a few months back I am totally addicted. We now have an affiliate Crossfit Anderson. Check us out at  even better come check us out in person, I'm sure you would become addicted as well.

It's a New Year

ok I know everybody gets tired of seeing all these new year resolutions, but this will not prevent me from sharing a few of my goals for the year.

Things I want to accomplish:
Become stronger....through CrossFit of course :)
Eat healthier... for me this means a modified Paleo
Drink more water....which really shouldn't be that hard
Be the most awesome wife and mother that I can be
and most people Jesus!

Also maybe a 5k,10k, and the long shot of a half marathon.
